So many things go into starting a company and building products.  The plethora of information that I want to share is almost limitless, the work I have to do to build and launch these five products is almost limitless.  I want to share as much as I can, and I want to build these products and build this company.  Things just keep getting in the way, but that’s not a bad thing.

What would you do if a television producer from Los Angeles contacted you about potentially being a host for a television show?  Well, I got to answer that question for myself, and the answer is that I would totally get excited about it and only be able to think about the possibility and nothing else.

A little background…..You may know that Spiked Mace Software is not my first rodeo.  My start-up story really starts with me creating Diner Connection.  Way back in 2010, I wrote Diner Connection in about 48 hours (at the time I had named it Waiting4aTable) and I entered it into a contest, and I won the contest.  I had restaurants contacting me just days within the win, and I had DDinerConnectioniner Connection in a restaurant within 2 weeks of winning the contest (and 3 weeks of actually writing it).  Since then, I have worked on building Diner Connection into a product I can be proud of, and it is currently in use in restaurants across the US and Canada.

Fast forwarding to a few weeks ago when I was contacted….the production company has been responsible for dozens of shows on television right now, and they are putting together a show for Food Network based around restaurant technology.  Since I don’t have any in restaurant experience, they are considering a co-hosting situation with me being the FOH (front of house – a restaurant term) host and another person being the BOH (back of house – another restaurant term) host.

Don’t get too excited yet (trust me, I’m excited enough for all of us), they told me that I will or won’t hear back from them in mid-December.  I’m not putting much hope in it, but the thought of it happening is exciting enough.

Yeah….I got distracted.
